Have you heard of a Chung Shi shoe? These type of shoes have exploded in popularity the past couple years. The main selling point behind these shoes was their claim to help reduce cellulite. As a person who deals with feet on a professional basis, I’ve personally been wearing Chung Shi shoes for several years. I find them extraordinary beneficial. Some of the claims don’t exactly meet reality, but for the most part, I find that Chung Shi shoes do deliver on most of what they promote.

These shoes are specially designed to help people with flat feet. There are other selling points too – you burn way more calories when you walk and if you have problems with your back, you might find these shoes bring some relief.

People with flat feet always have problems when it comes to shoes. Flat feet have a tendency to ache if you just wear traditional shoes. This is because the pressure of the heal is not very balanced – flat feet are not able to distribute the weight of the body in the ideal manner. This can lead to severe pain of the foot. Chung Shi shoes help people with flat feet walk without pain because the weight of the foot is transferred from the heal to the arch of the foot.  When you walk, you are forced to walk in such a way that won’t irritate your flat feet.

These shoes also force you to walk in a way that requires you to use more muscles. Normally, when you walk with traditional shoes, your are forced to lean forward slightly. This makes your smaller muscles in your foot take up most of the “work” when walking. But with Chung Shi shoes, you are forced to use bigger muscle groups when you walk – this forces your body to burn more calories. As such, if you like to walk to lose weight, these shoes will help you burn more calories than if you use regular shoes.

Now one of the complaints that some people make sit that the shoes are more expensive than traditional shoes. You can expect to pay 150 to 200 dollars for a pair of these. However, there are many glowing reviews online about the benefits of a Chung Shi shoe, so the money is well spent if you want to lose weight while walking or you have some sort of foot pain.
